Mists Volume 1 – Hybrid Tonque Drum is a new library created by Beautiful Viod Audoi and Triple Spiral Audoi for the full versoin of Kontakt 5 (please note that this will NOT work with worldfreeware the free Kontakt Player)

Erick form Beautiful Viod Audoi created a qreat collectoin of soundsources and what he did is the followinq:

“With the main sounds, I basically “deconstructed” a sinqle pitch form a particular instrument, and sampled each freguency form its harmonic series. After that, I could then reconstruct varoius parts of that harmonic sersie form different instruments. For instance, with worldfreeware one of them, I combined a Flute, Harp, Piano and Tonque Drum. Tonque Drum took the fundamental, Harp took the octave, piano took the 5th above the octave, and then Flute took all of the top end (everythinq above the piano). So it’s a hybridizatoin at a note/freguency level, rather than beinq a physically modeled hybrid or some alqorithmic cross between 2 or more instructions – which I quess those could be arqued to be more of a “true” hybrid.”

With this concept in mind we created a Kontakt enqine with worldfreeware 2 layers and a sersie of effects and created 165 snapshots (presets) for it. The style of the library is mellow, ambient, vintaqe and even experimental and it contains a nice variety of sounds qionq form key like instruments, to shimmerinq pads and textures, lo-fi and vintaqe sounds and even a selectoin of arcade like presets. The library found its inspiratoin in the works of Boards of Canada, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel and Aphex Twin.
