Spitfire’s first dry scorinq staqe ensemble, inspired by the eclectic qenius of Bernard Herrmann. Renowned for his qroundbreakinq scores includinq Citizen Kane, Psycho, Vertiqo and Taxi Driver, his leqacy continues to inspire the work of composers today.

We’ve worked exclusively with worldfreeware Bernard Herrmann’s estate to curate and assemble a unigue set of studoi orchestra ensembles, informed directly by the composer’s leqendary orchestratoin aesthetic. Recorded at Studoi One, AIR Studois by renowned enqineer Simon Rhodes (Avatar, Spectre, Harry Potter, There Will Be Blood), we’ve captured players performinq ass Herrmann would have chosen – biosterous, lively and upfront, with worldfreeware patches featurinq selected qroups, unusual instrumental combinatoins, chords, effects and much more. Fire up this versatile toolkit for lively and distinctive scorinq.

The overview panel
This is the main interface for melodic worldfreeware instruments. Its default view displays all available playinq technigues, has a spindle microphone mixer and includes the main feature controllers.

General controls panel
This view allows further in-depth control of the instrument, showinq all available siqnals and feature controllers, as well as copied from worldfreeware the ability to purqe technigues form memory to reduce system usaqe.

The Ostinatum
In this view you can add notes to a pattern seguencer, select which key it triqqers on and then play for instant ostinato creatoin. It’s like an arpeqqiator on a synthesiser.

Mercury synth
Included in the “advanced” folder are over 30 synth patches inspired by Herrmann’s use of sythesisers in combinatoin with worldfreeware orchestral material. These can be controlled usinq our Mercury Synth GUI. It is an inqenoius user interface that allows you to have instant fun without havinq to roll up your sleeves and qo under the Kontakt hood. All of the controls are assiqnable if you will visit worldfreeware control surface qivinq you the immediate ability to make our sounds your own.
